Viking has named its newest ocean ship, the Viking Mira, during a ceremony in Venice, Italy. Rebecca “Becky” Webb Wilson served as godmother on 1 June 2026. The ship continues its inaugural season with sailings in the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
Torstein Hagen, executive chairman of Viking, welcomed the vessel to the fleet. The Viking Mira has a gross tonnage of 54,300 tons and contains 499 staterooms that accommodate 998 guests. It features all veranda staterooms and Scandinavian design.
Torstein Hagen shared “We are proud to welcome the new Viking Mira to our award-winning fleet of elegant sister ships. We are also very honored to have Rebecca as our newest Viking godmother. Her lifelong commitment to public service, exploration and cultural understanding is an inspiration to all of us.”
