Waterford City and County Council has approved planning permission for a seven-storey hotel and aparthotel development in Dungarvan, located at Davitts Quay, Richard Walsh Street, TF Meagher Street, and Western Terrace.
The project involves the demolition of the three-storey Bridge House building from the 1970s and the construction of the new hotel with 42 aparthotel rooms, a penthouse suite, function halls, a cafe bar, and various service areas on different levels.
The hotel will have seven floors, with the sixth floor housing a penthouse suite with a balcony terrace. Solar PV cells are planned for the roof level, and there will be car parking for 48 spaces with provision for disabled bays and bicycle storage areas.
The plans were submitted on November 21, 2023, and were decided and approved by Waterford City and County Council on July 5, 2024, with 21 conditions attached to the permission.
