Pilot from Straffan named in fatal Westmeath helicopter crash

Niall Crosby from Glenageary in Dublin and originally from Baybush, Straffan County Kildare has been named as one of the pilots killed in the Westmeath helicopter crash.
He was a successful IT consultant and entrepreneur who had moved back to Dublin from London with his family recently.

The second man killed in the crash, from Eastern Europe, has been formally identified by Gardaí.

The Air Accident Investigation Unit (AAIU) is leading the investigation into the cause of the crash near Killucan in Co Westmeath and is appealing for witnesses with photos or videos of the helicopter flying in the area prior to the incident to come forward.
