Qantas plans to equip its international fleet with fast and complimentary inflight wifi, starting the installation by the end of 2024, delayed till similar quality connection can be delivered as their domestic service.

Partnering with Viasat, the airline aims to provide reliable connectivity for all passengers on A330, B787, and A380 aircraft, facilitating activities like movie streaming and live sports viewing.

The retrofitting will begin with A330-200LRs in March 2024 and extend to other aircraft like B787-9s, A380s, and A330-300s starting from 2025, ensuring wifi capability for new orders like A350 and B787 fleets.

Jetstar’s international widebody fleet, including Boeing 787-8s, will introduce onboard wifi from 2026, coinciding with their cabin refresh project. Qantas reveals details about the Airbus A220 fleet, emphasizing their range, seating configuration, and plans to introduce wifi connectivity on the new aircraft.
