Ryanair plans to start operating flights to Sarajevo in late March 2024 from multiple European cities, including Charleroi, Gothenburg, Bergamo, Memmingen, and London Stansted.

While Ryanair won’t be opening a base in Sarajevo, all flights will be operated from the airline’s existing bases.

Ryanair entered the Bosnian market in 2018 with flights to Banja Luka, and last November, it expanded its operations to Tuzla. However, the Tuzla flights were discontinued due to a €1.50 tax per departing passenger, which has since been temporarily suspended. Ryanair is expected to become Bosnia and Herzegovina’s second largest airline in terms of both flight operations and available seat capacity in 2023, behind Wizz
