Ryanair plans to increase flights to and from Sweden by adding two aircraft to its fleet, following the government’s decision to eliminate an aviation tax.
The airline will introduce 10 new routes to international destinations starting mid-2025 as part of its expansion in Sweden.
Eddie Wilson, CEO of Ryanair DAC, stated that Sweden has become “suddenly more attractive” for air travel.
The Swedish government decided to scrap the aviation tax, which was instituted in 2018 to reduce carbon emissions and was removed to lower ticket prices and enhance availability.
