Ryanair monthly passenger figures for March 2024 were a record 13.6m, up 8pc on March 2023 and 25pc on pre pandemic March 2019.
Load factor of 93pc was still behind the pre pandemic level of 96pc in March 2019 but ahead of the dip to 89pc in January.
Rolling annual passenger numbers were 183.7m, up 9pc on March 2023.
Ryanair operated 77,000 flights in Mar 2024. Another 950 flights were cancelled due to Israel/Gaza conflict.
The year 2024 is unusual in that increased Easter numbers are split between March and April. The last Easter wholly in March was 2016 and the last split Easter was 2018.
Ryanair have been forced to lower their forecasts for the year to December by the delay in deliveries of Boeing 727 Max 9 aircraft. Only 40 of an expected 57 aircraft will be delivered by summer 2024.
