Singapore Airlines (SIA) has become the first airline to confirm plans to operate at Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) from 2026, marking the airport’s first international airline tenant and establishing a strategic partnership between the two entities.

WSI CEO Simon Hickey highlighted that the agreement with SIA showcases the airport’s unique scheduling opportunities, particularly its 24-hour operating capability, which can enable efficient late-night departures and seamless connectivity for passengers. The current Sydney airport has a night time curfew.

The collaboration with SIA presents an opportunity to enhance customer experience throughout the airport ecosystem, with WSI progressing towards its scheduled opening in late 2026, offering combined international and domestic terminals for improved connectivity.
