Viking re-enactors from all over Ireland and Europe will gather at Slane Castle this weekend for a historical festival featuring battlefield replicas and storytelling.
The Boyne Valley Viking Experience has grown to become the largest medieval festival in Ireland, with over 500 participants from across the EU.
Skilled craftsmen will showcase traditional techniques in blacksmithing, weaving, and pottery, dressed in authentic medieval outfits for visitors to observe.
Attractions will include a boat landing featuring Viking longboats on the River Boyne, with crew members available to discuss their experiences related to the Viking TV series.
Children will have the opportunity to participate in a Viking treasure hunt led by medieval storytellers, and guests can also try their hand at archery with the Wolfshead Company of Archers.
