Southend airport remains closed today Tuesday July 15 since the crash on Sunday that caused four fatalities, including a Chilean born German nurse, a German doctor and two Dutch pilots. The nurse was 31-year-old Maria Fernanda Rojas Ortiz, also known as Fena. She was on her first day on the job.

A 46-year-old doctor Matthias Eyl, has also been named.

The aircraft, operated by Zeusch Aviation, had just dropped off a patient before it crashed at around 3.48pm. Eyewitness accounts described a fireball and smoke emerging from the crash site.

The Air Accident Investigations branch are investigation. At a press conference, Chief Superintendent Morgan Cronin shared “Sadly, we can now confirm that all four people on board died.”

Zeusch Aviation shared-“Our thoughts are with everyone who has been affected.”

Dutch daily newspaper De Telegraaf- reported “The 12-metre plane which crashed is owned by IT millionaire Con Zwinkels.”
