The IAA has concluded that Dublin airport’s Summer 2025 (S25) wishlist from airlines would cause airport movements to reach capacity limits during the day (0500-1559) and in the evening (1800-2000), leading to minor localised ground delays during these peak hours, if it followed the proposed wishlist,
IAA documentation concludes that
- declaring additional runway capacity under the S25 Wishlist will not significantly affect the average daily and peak taxi-out times, but the average departure taxi time in the early morning peak could reach around 22 minutes and 42 seconds per flight.
- Maintaining the runway limits in line with the Summer 2024 (S24) capacity declaration may result in scheduled capacity limits reached between 0500-1959, leading to a re-distribution of newly planned services to hours with remaining capacity.
- Keeping the S24 limits has a marginal overall impact, but re-planning services could cause a local reduction in taxi time performance during peak hours, while increases in taxi times are unlikely since flights would be rescheduled to times with enough spare capacity.
The S25 flight schedule wishlist contains a total of 888 flights (446 arrivals and 442 departures), including 51 new arrivals and 48 new departures and does not contain helicopter, military, state or medical flights.
