Twelve tour operators from Belgium and the Netherlands visited Ireland as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
These operators are vital partners in attracting Belgian and Dutch visitors to Ireland, with the aim of enhancing their programmes for 2025 and beyond.
A ‘twinning’ initiative links Belgium and the Netherlands with Galway and Clare, focusing on boosting tourism revenue in these regions.
The itinerary for the visiting tour operators included notable sites such as the Cliffs of Moher, Kylemore Abbey, and the Burren Farm Experience.
Karen van der Horst, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for Northern Europe, shared: “We’re delighted these influential Belgian and Dutch tour operators have taken the time to come and experience Ireland’s superb tourism offering – including our rich cultural and historical experiences – and see for themselves what Ireland has to offer their clients. It’s a great opportunity to familiarise them with the destination for consideration in their programmes for 2025 and beyond.”
