The 2027 trans-Atlantic schedule is taking shape after four US based carriers, Alaska, American, Delta and United reveled their direct flight destinations in Europe for 2027. Warnings that the process of removing the Dublin Airport passenger cap had to be completed by August 2026 were not heeded by the government, meaning Dublin was not considered for any new services.
Among the new flights planned for 2027 are Alaska Airlines from Seattle to Athens and Paris; American Airlines from Philadelphia to Porto and Vienna; Delta from Austin to Paris; and United from Newark to Luxembourg, Ljubljana and Ibiza.
Next spring, Alaska Airlines launches its first flights from Seattle to Athens and Paris Charles de Gaulle. The Seattle-Athens service begins on 12 May 2027, operating three times a week, while the Seattle-Paris route launches on 25 May 2027, flying five times per week. American has confirmed its international schedule for next summer, adding three new destinations from Philadelphia – serving Porto and Vienna for the first time ever and offering flights to Reykjavik for the first time since 2019. American will be the only US airline flying to Vienna when its service begins next May. In addition, American expands with nonstop routes from New York JFK to Amsterdam and Nice; from Charlotte to Barcelona; while adding a fourth daily flight between JFK and London Heathrow.
Beginning on 27 March 2027, Delta launches the first-ever nonstop service from Austin to Paris Charles de Gaulle. The service from the Texan city operates daily during the summer season, with passengers able to connect beyond Europe through Delta’s joint venture partnership with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic. In the largest expansion in its history, United adds 10 cities to its international network in 2027 – including new nonstop European flights from Washington Dulles to Toulouse and from Newark to Luxembourg, Marseille, Ibiza, Valencia, Terceira, Ljubljana, Olbia in Sardinia, and Catania in Sicily. United is also adding a new three times weekly nonstop service from Washington DC to Milan from 28 May 2027 and a new daily nonstop service from Denver to Paris beginning on 27 May 2027.
