Travel Counsellors Ireland has appointed Ciara MacConnell as the new Corporate Travel Manager, where she will lead the development of personalised corporate travel solutions and support the 85 Travel Counsellors in Ireland.
Ciara brings over 25 years of experience in the travel sector, having held significant roles within Travel Counsellors since 2007, and aims to expand the company’s corporate offerings and enhance client services.
The company has reported significant growth in corporate travel sales, achieving €10m in corporate travel revenue over the past year, marking a 22pc increase and demonstrating the rising demand for expert-led travel management.
Managing Director Cathy Burke emphasized Ciara’s passion and commitment to client care, highlighting the continued expansion of services for Irish SMEs and the importance of combining personalized support with innovative travel technology.
Ms MacConnell comes from a distinguished literary and musical family from Derrylin, county Fermanagh. Her father was a long term columnist with the Irish Press, an uncle agricultural correspondent of the Irish Times, another uncle plays with Boys of the Lough and a third uncle wrote the famous ballad: Only Our Rivers Run Free.
