Travel from Ireland is set to grow 4.4pc in 2024 to 12.8m trips. This is slightly ahead of the European average, where travel in many markets has still not recovered to pre-pandemic levels.
With the data from October now available, the CSO figures show 11.1m trips in the first ten months of the year compared with 10.5m in 2023,
This is 36pc ahead of pre-pandemic, although a change in collection methodology may have affected the figures.
