The Travel Coporation has strengthened its commitment to the Irish market twith the appointment of Zoe Walsh for dedicated business development support.
Her role with involve expanding the footprint of TTC touring brands including Costsaver, Trafalgar, Insight Vacations, and Contiki, strengthening current relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities with Irish travel agents.
The Travel Corporation set up its Irish head office at 27 Merrion Square in Dublin in 2010 for its team at Brendan Vacationswhich it had purchased in 2006 from Jimmy Murphy.
In 2013 The Travel Corporation purchased Ashford Castle, followed by The Lodge at Ashford Castle in 2014. and invested €75m to the Castle’s extensive restoration. Reopened in 2015 as part of The Red Carnation Hotel Collection by the then Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Ashford Castle has been an important employer and part of the local community of Cong. The group added Hatch Hall to The Red Carnation Hotel Collection in 2019.
This initiative aims to enhance investment and opportunities within Ireland’s travel trade sector.
