TUI has published its 2026 guide to the most child-friendly holiday destinations in Europe. The study has analysed over 150 coastal locations across the continent. Lisbon in Portugal has ranked first with a score of 9.16 out of 10.
Lisbon has recorded high densities of family-friendly hotels and attractions per 10 square kilometres. Naples in Italy has placed second with a score of 9.12 while Porto in Portugal has ranked third. Marmaris in Turkey has stood out for the highest average summer temperature in the top 10 at 28.75°C.
The research has measured entertainment options including theme parks, water parks, aquariums and zoos per 10 square kilometres along with summer weather conditions. Barcelona in Spain has recorded the highest number of TUI Musement excursions in the ranking.\
The study examined the number of theme parks, waterparks, ice cream shops, aquariums, arcades, and zoos alongside weather conditions to identify top family spots.

Rhodes in Greece has recorded one of the warmest average summer temperatures in the top 10 at 27.64 degrees Celsius. Barcelona in Spain has offered the highest number of TUI Musement excursions in the ranking with 439.
