A group of landowners led by Ulick McEvaddy is applying for planning permission to create a major aviation-focused freight and logistics hub adjacent to Dublin Airport.

The application is seen as representing the first significant step by DA Terminal 3 Ltd, seeking to develop an agricultural site for a new passenger terminal at the over-capacity airport.

Plans include four logistics units totalling close to half-a-million square feet and parking for more than 360 cars. The development aims to support a larger vision for Dublin Airport, potentially introducing a new western campus connected to the nearby M2 motorway. Ulick McEvaddy has made no progress for over 25 years in his efforts to develop the land, with ongoing discussions about a potential sale to DAA remaining unresolved.

Kenny Jacobs shared, “I talked to him a couple of months ago. He wants to sell it at X price, we want to buy a part of it at Y price. I’m sure we’ll talk again regarding the strategic site.

Ulick McEvaddy shared, “The land remains on the market; we haven’t given up on our plans.”
