United Airlines hosted 27 girls from St David’s College, Artane, for Girls in Aviation Day at Dublin Airport.
The event included a tour of airport operations, including the fire station and a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. Female leaders, including pilots and cargo staff, shared career insights to inspire the students.
The initiative aims to boost interest in STEM and aviation careers among young women.
United Airlines partners with Women in Aviation International to promote women in the industry.
Roger Berry shared: “Aviation is one of the most exciting industries you can work in. This initiative is all about inspiring the next generation of aviation leaders by increasing their interest in STEM careers, providing them with role models and showcasing the wide range of careers available in aviation. It was just fantastic to see their enthusiasm on full display throughout the action-packed day at Dublin Airport.”
Kenny Jacobs shared: “We’re delighted to support United Airlines in showcasing the world of opportunities in aviation to young women. Days like this show that aviation isn’t just about flying.
