Virgin Atlantic has cancelled its route between London Heathrow and Tel Aviv after launching it in September 2019.
The route experienced a suspension due to the Covid-19 pandemic only a few months post-launch.
Flights had been increased to twice daily but were suspended again in October 2023 amid escalating conflict between Israel and Hamas.
In a statement, the airline shared, “After careful consideration, our partners at Virgin Atlantic have taken the difficult decision to cancel services between London Heathrow and Tel Aviv.”
Virgin will maintain its codeshare partnership with EL AL, ensuring connections from Israel to England and the US, with an eye towards travel flexibility and loyalty benefits.
