Women in Aviation day 2026 announced for Shannon

Women in Aviation International’s Ireland Chapter has announced the 12th annual Girls in Aviation Day 2026, scheduled for 19 September at the Shannon Aviation Museum. The event, organised in conjunction with Stellaer 212 and ASG, aims to introduce aviation as a future career path to girls aged 11 to 18. Participants will meet female pilots, air traffic controllers, aircraft engineers, aeronautical engineers and cabin crew who serve as role models across the aviation industry.

The day involves a tour of the Shannon Aviation Museum and specialised activities involving professionals from general aviation, commercial aviation and drone operations. The museum strives to give people the love for aviation that they have not yet found, providing hands-on experiences and career guidance. Places are limited and early registration has been advised through the Women in Aviation International website.

Stellaer 212 serves as Ireland’s premier provider of bespoke private aircraft travel, based at Weston Airport, offering private jet charters and aircraft management services. ASG operates as one of Europe’s leading aviation theory schools, providing theoretical knowledge training and student satisfaction. Women in Aviation International offers free membership for Junior Members aged 5 to 15 and reduced rates for student members.
