Work on the extension to the Alex Hotel in Dublin has resumed fully after residents raised concerns about disruptions. The hotel operators obtained High Court injunctions against some locals from the neighbouring flats complex who had blocked the site entrance at Boyne Lane. An independent expert mediated the issues and calculated potential compensation for affected residents.

The construction firms Sherborough Enterprises Ltd and Persian Properties Unlimited Co secured the legal orders. Counsel Stephen Walsh BL confirmed to the High Court that full works recommenced.

Residents reported that heavy construction caused shaking in one flat and noted idling delivery lorries with loud radios from 5:00 AM. Justice Brian Cregan adjourned the matter until October to monitor progress.

The High Court adjourned the matter until October. Stephen Walsh BL shared “full extension works have successfully recommenced.”
