Dublin Airport says it intends pronvind a public transport seat for every passenger as it issued new permits allowing bus operators to pick up and drop off passengers outside the airport’s terminals, providing more bus options for passengers.
Operators have committed to providing a seat for every passenger from 2024 onwards, with an expected availability of over 35 million bus seats by 2025.
The number of buses departing from Dublin Airport is set to increase, with over 1,000 buses per day in 2024 and 1,200 buses per day in 2025.
Dublin Airport aims to increase the percentage of passengers and staff traveling to the campus by bus and has submitted plans for an improved Ground Transportation Centre with amenities for passengers.
