The Guinness Cork Jazz Festival attracted 100,000 attendees, making it a key tourism event for the Cork economy outside the summer season, generating over €50m in hospitality spending during its five-day run.

This year’s festival featured a jazz program at 99 venues, with more than 500 artists participating, leading to record ticket sales and a noticeable increase in international interest.

Highlights included performances by artists such as Gregory Porter and De La Soul, alongside the successful Guinness Music Trail and the vibrant Big Fringe events, which drew large crowds and energized the city.

Local businesses experienced a significant boost, with a reported 12pc increase in activity compared to the previous year, emphasizing the festival’s positive economic impact, as stated by various officials and artists involved.
