
More than 150 submissions have been made to Fingal County Council opposing the DAA’s interim proposal to increase Dublin Airport’s passenger cap to 36m annually.
The existing cap of 32m was introduced in a 2007 planning condition for Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport.
Acrivists have objected to the expansion plans, citing concerns over noise and environmental impacts.
Fingal council says the DAA’s no-build application is required to undergo a noise assessment by the Aircraft Noise Competent Body before further consideration, something the DAA says it is prec;uded from doing so by delayed legal action.
The parents’ association of Kilcoskan National School, have expressed concerns about the negative effects of increased flights on local health and environment.
