The Explore Engineering event saw engineers from 60 companies in Limerick, Clare, and Tipperary present to 2,000 secondary school students.
Organisers note that the event, now hosted at Shannon Airport, is crucial in encouraging interest in engineering careers among students.
A 70pc rise in engineering graduates at the University of Limerick and Technological University of the Shannon has been recorded over the last seven years.
According to Eimear Brophy, Chair of Exploriing Enginieering, 16pc of jobs in the Mid West are within the engineering sector, underscoring the importance of promoting diverse pathways into the field.
