247 Aviation acquires two Learjet 45s for England’s air ambulance service

247 Aviation has acquired two Learjet 45s and will launch a new base in southern England following a £7.98m investment.

The Learjet 45 is chosen for its optimal range and performance for intensive care patient transport. The two aircraft are expected to be registered and operational by August 31, 2025.

A new satellite base will enhance response times for urgent medical cases across England and Ireland. The company’s operational fleet will grow to nine aircraft, including the newly acquired Learjets and others previously added.

James McKnight shared “The Learjet 45 offers the optimal combination of range, performance, and cabin configuration for intensive care patient transport.”

Neil Crooks shared “The addition of these aircraft and the establishment of a new base in the south of England will allow us to respond more quickly to urgent cases.”
