A new survey by Multitrip.com reveals that a third (33pc) of Irish holidaymakers opt for the cheapest travel insurance available, while only three in ten (29pc) conduct thorough research before purchasing travel insurance.
Approximately 32pc of respondents ensure that the luggage limit in their travel insurance policy covers the cost of their belongings, with 31pc checking that the cancellation limit would cover the expenses if they had to cancel their trip.
Jason Whelan from Multitrip.com emphasised the importance of researching and selecting the right travel insurance policy tailored to individual needs, with three levels of cover and optional add-ons available to customers.
