Drogheda cycle routes to Navan, Dundalk, and Skerries will be part of the new National Cycle Network.
The network aims to provide 3,500 km of safe and accessible cycle lanes throughout Ireland by 2040, connecting 200 towns.
Local councils, including Louth County Council, will be responsible for planning and implementing the cycle network.
The network will link households with employment, leisure, education, and tourism centers, making cycling a viable mode of transport for daily activities.
