Airbnb’s Spring 2025 Travel Trends Report showed a massive 90pc increase in solo travel searches from the previous year, with solo trips averaging 17 nights.

Female travellers represented 71pc of solo adventurers, as reported by Virtuoso, indicating a growing trend among women.

Essential hotel safety tips include maintaining a low profile about solo travel and managing social media posts to ensure safety.

It is advisable to avoid ground-floor rooms and disclose room numbers minimally to maintain security while staying in hotels.

A proactive approach to room safety encompasses investing in additional security measures and conducting thorough checks for hidden cameras upon arrival.
