Joan Clancy Gallery in County Waterford has been marking 25 years since it first opened in 2001 with a special anniversary exhibition. The gallery opened Ceiliúradh 25 on Wednesday 8 July at 7.30 pm and features works by 25 artists. Visitors have also taken part in guided tours that include personal photographs and memorabilia connected to Joan Clancy and her late husband Tom Clancy.

The exhibition ran daily from 11 am to 5 pm until 22 July and presented works by Catherine Barron, Blawnin Clancy, Beatrice O’Connell, Rayleen Clancy and many others. The gallery sits in An Rinn, a Gaeltacht area overlooking Dungarvan Bay. Tours offered insights into the exhibition and the Clancy family story.

Joan Clancy shared “When I first opened the gallery, I could never have imagined the journey it would take or the wonderful artists and visitors it would bring into my life. Ceiliúradh 25 is not just a celebration of the gallery, but of the friendships, creativity and shared love of art that have grown here over the years. My three daughters, Blawnin, Rayleen, and Rosie, who are carrying the cultural legacy of their father, Tom Clancy, in different forms, have played an integral role in the success of the gallery.”
