Donegal’s bilingual Earagail Arts Festival from 10 July to 25 July presents music, theatre, circus, visual arts and spoken word across the county. The festival includes theatre productions such as The Horse of Jenin and Distillation by Luke Casserly. Circus performances feature MDR – Death from Laughter by Los Galindos.
Music events bring artists including Noura Mint Seymali and Kanta Dab Dab with performances on Gola Island. Visual arts exhibitions take place at the Regional Cultural Centre and An Gailearaí with the Made in Donegal show.
The Earagail Arts Festival is County Donegal’s premier summer cultural event, taking place along the Wild Atlantic Way. The 2026 festival runs from 10th July to 25th July 2026. It features a bilingual (Irish and English) programme spanning music, theatre, contemporary circus, visual arts, and spoken word.

- Distillation by Luke Casserly: A unique olfactory performance at An Grianán Theatre exploring the Irish bog landscape through scent.
- The Journals Fleadh: Returning for its third year, bringing literary and spoken word talent to Rathmullan.
- The Human Library: A unique project hosted in Letterkenny where readers borrow real people as “books”.
Circus & Physical Theatre
- MDR – Death from Laughter: Breathtaking acrobatics, physical theatre, and dark humour from Catalan company Los Galindos.
- Family Fun Entertainment: World-class clowning, comedy acts, and outdoor street spectacles designed for all age groups
Music & Sound Events
- World and Folk Beats: High-profile performances from international artists like Mauritanian singer Noura Mint Seymali and Nepalese group Kanta Dab Dab.
- Vinyl Sundays: Relaxed, open-air afternoon sessions hosted in the heritage gardens of Glebe House & Gallery.
- Gola Island Performances: Free contemporary dance and music showcases taking place directly on the island.
Visual Arts Programme
- Regional Cultural Centre (RCC): Summer exhibition party in Letterkenny featuring “The Iron Gates” and “The Rain Tells Us Everything”.
