The GAP MTB Maxxis Mega Lit IDMS Finale 2026 is bringing the final round of the 2026 Irish Downhill Mountain Bike Series to Glencullen Adventure Park on 19 and 20 September 2026. After four rounds of racing at Carrick, Ballinastoe, Cullahill and Bree, the series comes down to one final showdown in the Dublin Mountains. The event is supported by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council with sponsors including Maxxis, TIGH’N ALLUIS, Grizzly’s and Mighty Irish Racing.
Callum Morris currently leads the Elite standings on 620 points, with Alex Hickey just 43 points behind on 577. GAP sponsored rider Emmet Callaghan sits third on 552 points and will have the advantage of fighting for the title on home soil. In the M50s category, Michael Cowan has achieved a perfect score of 1,000 points. Scott Murphy leads the Junior championship while Ross McGowan sits at the top of the Youth standings. In Juvenile, Freddie Miloiu has put together an almost perfect series with 910 points and holds a commanding series lead.
Saturday is about bringing the wider mountain bike community together for a full day of racing culture, entertainment and games. The Race Village at Grizzly’s will be at the heart of the action with food, music and activities throughout the day. The legendary Classic Cup returns, giving riders the chance to race on 26-inch bikes in a celebration of downhill mountain biking history. A dedicated Wellness Area at TIGH’N ALLUIS will provide forest bathing, breathwork, yoga and Irish yurt sauna experiences. At 6pm, the Skills Area will host the Whip Off competition, with live music and a DJ set providing entertainment until 10pm.
