Aegean Airlines has increased its order for Airbus A321-200NX aircraft by eight, bringing the total to fifty-eight across its A320/A321neo range.

The current order includes twenty-one A320-200Ns, thirty-three A321-200NX, and four A321-200NX(LR)s, with 34 already delivered.

CEO Dimitris Gerogiannis indicated that the added aircraft are vital for meeting growth objectives and enhancing operational competitiveness.

The airline has faced capacity restrictions due to grounded aircraft caused by Pratt & Whitney engine issues during the peak season of 2024.

Aegean Airlines began its order in 2018, with the first deliveries commencing in 2020, while also utilising wet-leased aircraft from its subsidiary Olympic Air for domestic routes.
