
Aer Lingus has abruptly dropped its Dublin to Gatwick service from end-March.
In a statement, the airline said that they will be in touch with passnegrs who have booked for flights after April 1st with their opitons.
Aer Lingus has two rotations daily to Gatwick, down from four last summer, and Ryanair eight, up from seven last summer.
Ryanair launched “rescue fares” for €20 for Aer Lingus passengers. They also operate to Gatwick from Cork and Shannon.
BA flights to Doha will also stop on March 31 and Norse have also decided to end their Gatwick schedule. That leaves with airport with 368 routes, 21 of them seasonal, including many African ties not served from Heathrow.
