
Aer Lingus and United Airlines have terminated the codeshare agreement, effective 27 October 2023. It started in July 2008.
The termination applies to all routes including short-haul.
Special Prorate Agreements between Aer Lingus and United were part of the commitments given for EU approval of the 2015 IAG take-over of Aer Lingus.
United’s hubs include Denver, to where Aer Lingus is launching a trans-Atlantic service in 2024. United hubs that have served Aer Lingus well in the past include San Francisco, Newark and Los Angeles.
