Aer Lingus has announced upgrades to its AerClub passenger loyalty programme alongside new route launches that will enhance connectivity for Irish travellers and visitors.
As of April 2026, Aer Lingus has introduced significant upgrades to its AerClub loyalty programme, primarily focused on making tier status more accessible for members booking lower-cost fares.
Effective for eligible flights from the start of April 2026, the airline has doubled the Tier Credits earned on its most popular value fares:
European saver fares tier credits have increased from 7.5 to 15 per flight. Transatlantic smart fares tier credits have increased from 25 to 50 per flight. These changes allow frequent flyers to reach higher membership levels—Silver, Platinum, and Concierge—up to twice as fast, unlocking perks like lounge access and priority boarding more quickly.
In March 2026, the airline announced exclusive “Avios-Only” flights to Malta for August 2026, where every seat on the aircraft is reserved for AerClub members booking with reward currency.
Members can now earn Tier Credits and enjoy day-of-travel benefits (such as priority check-in and extra baggage) when flying with partner airlines British Airways and American Airlines.
Following a partnership with Starlink, Aer Lingus began rolling out free high-speed Wi-Fi across its long-haul fleet in late March 2026.
Recent additions include services from Pittsburgh to Dublin starting 25 May and Raleigh Durham from 13 April, with further summer routes from Dublin and Cork. These developments come as airports including Cork and Shannon report solid passenger growth and forecast strong Easter numbers.
