AerCap Holdings has secured a sale and leaseback agreement for a new Boeing 787-9 aircraft with TAAG Angola Airlines, enhancing TAAG’s fleet modernization efforts.
The delivery of the aircraft is slated for February 2025, marking AerCap as the first lessor to introduce the 787 to TAAG.
This strategic partnership aims to expand TAAG’s network across Africa, Europe, and Asia, utilising one of the most fuel-efficient widebody aircraft available.

As part of their fleet modernization program, the 787 will enable TAAG expand their network across Africa, Europe and Asia with one of the most fuel-efficient widebody aircraft on the market and support them in meeting customer demand.
