Air Astana Group has reached a settlement with Pratt & Whitney regarding its PW1100G engines on A320-200neo aircraft, aiming to address costs and enhance operational initiatives, with the settlement figure undisclosed.

The group operates twenty-nine A320neo Family aircraft with the PW1100G engines and anticipates 34 engine removals in 2024.

To manage maintenance issues, Air Astana Group has spare engines and plans to acquire more by 2028, utilizing Pratt & Whitney’s pool of spare engines and securing additional engines to address ongoing challenges.
