Airbus posts third-quarter profits and revenues above forecasts from commercial jet deliveries and advances in helicopters and defence in 2025.
The company confirms targets of about 820 commercial jet deliveries for the year. Airbus revised its A220 production to 12 units per month in 2026 from a previous goal of 14 units. Supply chain issues in Canada and the United States have postponed assembly of a few A220 jets in 2025 and nearly 10 in 2026.
The Quebec government reduced its 400m Canadian dollar investment in the A220 programme to about 270m euro due to trade tensions and supply chain weakness.
Benoit Schultz shared, “Workers in September to achieve an internal goal of 100 A220 handovers to airlines in 2025, which represents a one-third increase from previous years.”
