
Anita Thomas, Ireland country manager at Emirates, is to speak at the Arab Irish Business Summit on 18 September 2025.
Key sectors covered by the summit include travel and tourism, hospitality, food and drink, fintech, and pharma. Irish exports grew by 6% in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
She joins a line up of speakers including Bobby Healy of Manna, and Chanelle McCoy of Dragon’s Den.
The Middle East and Gulf region presents significant opportunities, with Arab countries importing over 85pc of their goods. Major executives will share insights, underscoring the importance of connectivity and collaboration with Arab markets.
Ahmad Younis CEO of the Arab Irish Chamber of Commerce shared, “Arab markets have long looked to the west for product, expertise and skills, and Irish companies and executives are held in high regard, Connectivity is critical for export growth and airlines like Emirates and Etihad are connecting not only people, but tens of tonnes of cargo to markets such as Dubai, Qatar and Saudi Arabia every day.”
