Applegreen has announced a major expansion of its Taco Bell network across Ireland, planning to open four new restaurants before the end of 2026. The expansion represents an investment that will create 80 new jobs and bring the service station operator’s total Taco Bell network to 9 outlets. The four newly announced locations are Swords Village and Inchicore in Dublin, Tuam Road in Galway and Paulstown in County Kilkenny.
By the conclusion of 2026, Applegreen’s sub-franchise operation will encompass 8 locations in the Republic of Ireland and 1 in the six counties. This rollout follows other recent mid-2026 additions to the Applegreen network, including a location at Junction 9 on the M7 in Naas.
Applegreen introduced Taco Bell to Irish consumers in September 2025, launching Ireland’s first Taco Bell at its €15m M3 plaza in Dunshaughlin, County Meath. The expansion is part of Applegreen’s wider multi-year €1bn strategic growth and investment programme across its travel plaza network.
