Liam Lonergan’s Atlas Travel reports sales increase to €35.9m

Atlas Travel corporate travel agency owned by Liam Lonergan’s Club Travel, reported a substantial increase in sales to over €35.9m for the financial year ending October 2023, up 26pc from the previous year.

Atlas Travel also saw an increase in operating profit to nearly €848,000 in 2023, up from just over €780,000 in 2022.

The company is experiencing steady, organic growth post-pandemic, allowing for the enhancement of customer services, with plans to recruit an additional 30 to 40 staff across the Club Travel group. Club Travel acquired Atlas Travel in 2019 amidst industry consolidation and strong online competition.

Club Travel director Colman Burke said: “corporate travel has completely recovered and is exceeding 2019 levels in both volume and in revenue terms,”
