Dublin based Avolon, the second largest aricraft leasing company in the world, acquired 115 aircraft, including the completion of the Castlelake Aviation Limited acquisition, raising its fleet to 639 owned and managed aircraft and a total of 1,096 when ordered aircraft are included.
The company sold 34 aircraft, concluding the quarter with 66 aircraft agreed for sale.
Avolon’s total owned, managed, and committed fleet of 1,096 aircraft, includes 457 new technology aircraft on orders and commitments.
The firm successfully placed 15 aircraft, achieving 97pc of its orderbook placement for the next 24 months.
Avolon raised US$850m in senior unsecured notes due 2030 and is under review for upgrades by Moody’s and Fitch.
