Avolon Q2 update shows fleet of 582 aircraft & 447 orders

Dublin based Avolon, the world’s second largest lessors, issued a business update for the second quarter (Q2) of 2024. 

Avolon delivered 15 new aircraft, transitioned 10 aircraft to customers, sold 6 aircraft, and entered into letters of intent for the sale of 17 more. Additionally, they placed 23 aircraft from their orderbook, executed 15 lease transactions, and added 4 new customers, bringing the total to 142 airline customers operating in 63 countries. 

At the end of the quarter, Avolon had an owned and managed fleet of 582 aircraft, with orders and commitments for 447 new technology aircraft.

In Q2 financing highlights, Avolon raised US2.5bn of unsecured debt capital,including US1.0bn in senior unsecured notes due 2029, US1.05bn in unsecured term loans due 2027,and a US450m upsize in an unsecured revolving credit facility.
