Avolon has agreed to lease 13 Airbus aircraft including nine A330neo and four A320neo family to Etihad Airways at the Dubai Airshow on 18 November 2025.
Deliveries scheduled for 2027 and 2028 supported Etihad’s short-haul and medium-haul network growth. Etihad operated 115 aircraft serving over 100 destinations worldwide as of 17 November 2025.
The A330neo offered 25% reduction in fuel burn CO₂ emissions and operating costs compared to previous generation aircraft. Avolon held 87 A330neo in its owned and committed fleet since becoming a launch customer in 2014.
Andy Cronin shared “Etihad’s selection of the A330neo is a strong endorsement for the programme and reflects the high level of demand from airlines for widebody capacity.”
