Mount Congreve Gardens in Waterford has reopened for the season on February 1.

The gardens have received recognition, including being listed by Conde Nast Traveller and the New York Times as a top place to visit in 2024 and winning the Best Newcomer award in the Irish Independent Reader Travel awards.

Visitors can expect to see restorative works in the walled gardens, carpets of snowdrops and crocuses, winter flowering plants, early Camellias, and blooming Rhododendrons.

The 70-acre woodland gardens feature an 18th-century mansion, walking trails, a walled garden, and the new Stables Café and Visitor Centre. The gardens will initially be open from Thursday to Sunday and will open seven days a week from March 1.
