
British Airways launched new routes to the capitals of Ghana and Latvia.
The airline is now operating three flights per week between Gatwick and Accra, with plans to add a fourth weekly service starting from April 2024 complementing BA’s existing daily flights between Heathrow and Accra.
BA has resumed flights to Riga, the capital of Latvia, operating a thrice weekly service from Heathrow. The airline previously flew to Riga between 1997 and 2007. This week, BA resumed service between Heathrow and Cologne, which had been on hold since the pandemic, as well as launching flights between Heathrow and Belgrade.
British Airways aims to double the number of available seats between Accra and London, with 55pc more capacity planned for next summer compared to 2019. The airline continuously seeks routes and regions with growth potential, and Accra, along with Africa as a whole, is considered one of those opportunities\
