British Airways (BA) has further adjusted its flight schedules due to ongoing supply chain issues with Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 engines, which are affecting its B787 fleet.
The airline operates a total of 41 B787s, with several aircraft currently out of service because of engine shortages, leading to a more cautious approach in planning for the upcoming 2025/26 winter season.
As of October 2024, BA has suspended flights on routes including London Gatwick to New York JFK and reduced frequencies on longer-haul flights, including the Kuala Lumpur International service.
Future schedules through to 2026 will account for the aircraft that are currently out of service, allowing BA to adapt quickly if additional planes become available for operation.
