BA to expand winter services from Heathrow to Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro & Buenos Aires

British Airways plans to expand its services from London Heathrow to Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Buenos Aires this winter.

The route to Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport will increase from daily to ten flights per week starting from October 29, 2024, with a 28pc increase in capacity compared to the previous winter.

Flights to Sao Paulo will be operated by BA’s A350-1000 aircraft, with three additional frequencies served by the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. The route will also switch from Heathrow’s T3 to T5.

The Heathrow-Rio de Janeiro-Buenos Aires route will be serviced by BA’s A350-1000, resulting in a 22pc increase in seat capacity compared to the previous winter.
